ScotRail, part of First Group PLC, needed to change behaviours of their passengers and help them prepare themselves for winter travel. Snow and bad weather causes major disruption of trains and the stations have been under huge pressure with passengers not knowing what to expect and how to behave when major disruption strikes.

Mobex set up a campaign team to design and deliver a roadshow tackling 17 major stations along susceptible routes. The objectives of the roadshow was to raise awareness of:

• How customers can help themselves prepare for travel during winter
• To increase the take up of online services such as Twitter, Journey Check, new website look and feel 
• Set customer expectations of what they can expect during severe disruption, temporary timetable, alternative transport 
• How ScotRail have improved customer communications and what this looks like • What investment has been made in new winter equipment 
• Build better working partnership with Network Rail 

Using two Mobex exhibition trailers they travelled the east coast and the west coast of Scotland inside and outside major stations and town centres. The trailers came fully equipped with 6 laptops each with internet access and the purpose was to tell people the 10 things they could do to help themselves. A non paid for media campaign was also planned. They formed associations with Transport Scotland and Network rail to join up messages

Agrii are leading providers of agronomy services, technology and strategic advice to the farming community.

As part of their recent ‘ifarm’ events that visited farms across the Midlands and the Southwest, Agrii needed a company who could assist with logistics, marketing and delivery of their equipment and a space in which to portray their brand and products.

Having used Mobex for their agricultural shows for the last 5 years, using a Mobex exhibition trailer was the ideal solution, Agrii knows it gives a great presence at their events, they had plenty of space for marketing graphics to be seen, and Mobex could deliver the required equipment to each event. When the Department of Health set out to tour the NHS Roadshow across 25 PCT areas in southern England, they needed a specialist supplier with the resources and experience to carry out such a challenging job efficiently.

We supplied four branded 5-metre display trailers, which between them visited 18 different high-footfall locations each week, such as high streets, shopping precincts and supermarkets. We also prepared and supplied six modular stands. This enabled the team to carry the roadshow to particular sectors of the community by visiting, for example, a Pakistani men’s community centre, a Bangladeshi women’s group and an Age Concern centre, as well as several libraries and GP surgeries. At each venue the trailers were staffed by local Primary Care Trust personnel, who invited the public to explore the increased choices they now have when accessing NHS care.

The trailers, manufactured specially for the event, were branded both internally and externally, complete with NHS Choice contact information. Each unit had internet access and TV and DVD facilities. Dedicated Mobex staff toured with the trailers, compiling statistics on brand recognition and visitor numbers.

NHS Portsmouth wanted to raise awareness of pharmacies that had recently been awarded ‘Healthy Living Pharmacy’ status. The challenge was to encourage the use of these Healthy Living Pharmacies and to increase public confidence in all community pharmacy services. Healthy Living Pharmacies bring together NHS commissioned services and can help people with stopping smoking, weight loss, emergency contraception, medicine use reviews and more.

Using a Mobex 5m display trailer a week’s worth of roadshow events were planned and implemented, enabling NHS Portsmouth to interact with people, in person..

Liverpool PCT wanted to conduct a neighbourhood consultation regarding a proposal to build a new state-of-the-art neighbourhood health centre in the Kensington area of Liverpool. The challenge and main objective was to engage with as many local residents as possible to get their opinions on the proposals.

Mobex helped plan and deliver a four week roadshow using the Mobex 5m hospitality/display trailer to capture the views of Kensington and Edge Hill residents. The concept of a road show enabled the PCT to access the heart of the local community to talk to people about the proposals. The road show was well publicised locally and the exhibition trailer was located across a number of popular sites including supermarket car parks.

With heart disease being the biggest killer in Rochdale, NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) joined forces under the Hearty Lives project to raise awareness of cardiovascular diseases. The Hearty Lives Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale project needed a way to get out in to the community to raise awareness of heart disease in the area and to give some practical advice and medical assessments out in the community.

Using the tried and tested Mobex trailer solution, Hearty Lives Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale really came to life as a fully mobile and accessible roadshow, in three locations in the borough. Staffed by specialist Cardiovascular Nurses offering medical advice and assessments including blood cholesterol checks, the trailer was conveniently situated in neighbourhood locations to reach people who wouldn’t necessarily access health services or visit their GP.

Cereals is the leading technical event for the arable industry.

With the UK enjoying some fantastic weather recently, it certainly helped to attract residents in the North West to the recent community engagement Regenda Roadshow, with the exhibition trailer supplied by the team at Mobex.

The Roadshow exceeded all expectations, and communicated to a lot more residents than they would have with a traditional conference.

Each Roadshow varied slightly, but included support for people who are looking for work, health information, details on ways to improve wellbeing in the area and visits from the local fire service and police.

“For us Mobex was the fifth emergency service. We needed a way of getting to the heart of 8 neighbourhoods to carry out community consultation in a real and meaningful way. Our plan to use a converted single-decker bus fell through at the last minute when the vehicle was suddenly and permanently taken off the road. Mobex not only provided a rapid response but one which economically was very attractive. We used the 5 metre trailer for one week on a self –tow hire. This was a new experience for our staff team who received a full demonstration and instruction from Mobex very helpful staff.

The unit was very robust, of solid construction and cleverly designed for ease of use. A generator, flat screen TV, heating, lighting, display holders and kitchen area were all incorporated and the interior was clad with quality material which allowed the fixture of display materials with the aid of Velcro hooks.

Given that our consultation was taking part in December the unit was perfect with sliding patio style doors which allowed protection from the weather.
